Some users of IP-telephony network Skype started to notice that the version of client software for the Linux operating system accesses files not related to the work itself Skype.
The program Skype, is reported to have read the directory / etc / passwd, profiles of the Firefox browser and some other data. It was established with the help of tools AppArmor. AppArmor is a package of proactive protection system based on security policies. This tool allows you to determine which system resources and with what privileges can access a particular application.
While it is not clear how exactly to Skype client accesses to the components of Firefox and other files. However, the fact that Skype reads these data, was later confirmed by means of diagnostic and debugging strace.
